The Meeks Family

Rufus is our second kitty. He came to us as a stray, abandoned kitten. He showed up at the end of the driveway one Saturday night.  We were able to get him into the vet a week later and now he and Tilly are kitty sibs!

We have a new little girl in our family. Her name is Tilly and she is 3 months old. We’ve deemed May 19, 2014, her birthday – Mackenzie is thrilled. We adopted her from the Humane Society of Scott County on Sunday, August 17, 2014. We had her for her first visit with the vet today and she got a clean bill of health. They all fell in love with her. She is playful, inquisitive, and very very loving. She loves to give hugs and kisses (really! right around your neck and full-on face nuzzles!).

Today was William’s Spring Program and Graduation from Preschool. The class sang several songs and then were presented with Diplomas (for those going on to Kindergarten) or Certificates (for those with another year or two of preschool). It was a wonderful program and William was amazing. We are so proud of our little guy – can’t believe he’s off to Kindergarten next year!

Today we celebrated Mackenzie’s 12th birthday with the family.  We had pizza, cookie cake, presents, and playing outside at the new house.
